The staff of Black Country community interest company (CIC) Complete
Kidz are celebrating after gaining Gold CAA accreditation – becoming the first
CIC in the UK to achieve this important accreditation.
The CAA (Children’s Activities Association) is the first not-for-profit,
industry-led organisation to set and raise standards in all organised children’s
activities across the United Kingdom. The CAA offers parents a simple way to
make informed decisions when choosing from the wealth of children’s activities
out there. Just by asking whether the provider is a CAA member, a parent or
carer can get peace of mind regarding important issues such as insurance, health and safety, criminal record checks,
training, qualifications and much more. Unsurprisingly therefore, already over
200,000 children across the UK attend a CAA member activity every week.
Dr Amanda Gummer PhD, Founder of Fundamentally Children the official
independent accrediting organisation for the CAA, said “Complete Kidz is an
outstanding CIC providing a huge range of children’s care and activities at the
very highest level. Their excellent systems and processes truly deserve Gold
accreditation and we are delighted that they are the first CIC to achieve our
highest standard”.
Complete Kidz is a leading CIC, providing a wide range of
affordable physical activity, sports coaching and educational services to
improve the health and well-being of all age
groups. Their goal is to raise the understanding of healthy eating and exercise
amongst children and their parents, as well as offering economical high quality
childcare.
Jo Haydon, Chief Executive of Complete Kidz, said “we are thrilled to
have our professional approach to children’s activities recognised by the CAA.
Our systematic methods provide a solid foundation for us to deliver fun,
exciting activities for children of all ages. Parents can be confident that their
children are being cared for and having a great time in a secure environment.”
The mission of Complete
Kidz is to inspire and develop health and education through innovative and
imaginative activities involving sport, music, drama and art. They accomplish
this through engaging children and their parents and encouraging them to adopt
a healthy lifestyle. Their activities are provided in a safe environment, where
the participants enjoy themselves and achieve meaningful personal outcomes.
