Complete Kidz Announces New Community Initiative The Sunshine Years!

Building on our Sandwell Youth Matters community programme for young people and our Make, Move and Munch Clubs for parents and children, we are now running social activity sessions for those aged over 60 in the Black Country!

Currently running once a month at Hilltop Lodge Care home, our Sports Coach Dawn leads the residents through a range of chair-based exercises to strengthen arms and legs. Then there is an opportunity for some to participate in gentle aerobic activities such as badminton. With lots of fun, singing and interaction, these moderate sessions are great for boosting both mood and health.

The aim of The Sunshine Years is to develop and improve physical and mental health for those aged 60+. A sedentary lifestyle can lead to a range of life threatening diseases and loneliness is equally as debilitating for the elderly.

Complete Kidz Launches New Glo Sports Activity

Following on from our first successful Glo Disco, we are now launching Glo Sports as a rewards programme activity for schools in Sandwell.

Pupils can come along to our funky Glo warehouse setting and party while they take part in a wide range of sports.

While there is still an element of competition, playing sport becomes even more fun, engaging and social.

Complete Kidz Royalz Academy Need Your Votes In Shape Your Talent 2017

Sandwell’s SHAPE Your Talent 2017 showcased some amazing talent in auditions held from Wednesday May 3 – Saturday May 13. Young people aged 8 – 19 years sang, danced and entertained packed audiences in 7 heats across the borough. Of 96 acts who applied, 17 have made it through to the semi-final stage of the competition.

Now it’s your time to vote for your favourite act of 2017. Your votes, combined with judges scores, will see 3 finalists from each category chosen for the final, which takes place on Friday June 30 at St Michaels School in Rowley Regis.

Team Ream are a Street Dance Group from the Complete Kidz Royalz Academy, based in Friar Park. The group is made up of 3 dancers: Teegan Dunlavey Age 9, Tianna Fisher Age 9 and Kayla Carter age 8:

“This was our first ever time dancing as a trio! We entered SHAPE Your Talent to gain some experience performing and are absolutely over the moon at getting through to the next round!  People should vote for Team Ream as we are absolute little superstars with a lot of passion and BIG attitudes. We work hard and are committed to what we love…Dancing!!! We train twice a week at Friar Park Millennium centre, working on routines ready for local shows and competitions.  In the future, we hope to keep doing what they do best...and that’s dancing! Wowing more audiences and hopefully winning more trophies to add to our collection!”

Royalz Academy for Children

Trying to get your child away from the TV, phone, tablet or computer in the evenings? Let them try our lively, enjoyable Kidz Classes, priced at only £3 per hour (helping parents with more than one child to afford these marvelous activities).

This year we have launched the Royalz Academy and students will be entering a variety of competitions and shows. Children attending can also achieve badges. Billie, our Head Dance Coach, continues to coordinate our team of experienced dancers to deliver these sessions.
